Shoes, shoes, shoes as far as the eye can see!

Anyone who knows me will understand that I have a serious obsession for shoes. I have more than most people and I hold my hands up and say that it is not really useful to own this many but I work hard and feel like I deserve them. Everyone has their own opinions about shoes that are key for summer, but I thought it would be nice to share my favourites for Spring/Summer ’19.

Classic White Sandals

This is a pair of shoes that I believe are a staple to any wardrobe in the summer and I believe they can bring a touch of class to any outfit. I have bought two sets this summer, one heeled and one flat because I find I need both depending on the event I’m attending or area I am visiting. I have found that the best way to pair my heels are with a long graceful maxi skirt or dress for an evening out or lunch date as they can take an outfit from casual to dressy quite easily. They have also become a staple in my work wardrobe as they work well for meetings and days around the office without being too casual or too high for walking to meet clients. I have been pairing them with my pink paper-bag trousers and white lace blouse to bring a touch of femininity to the corporate world. I found a gorgeous set in New Look for this season and just had to snap them up.

Gladiator Sandals

As I mentioned, I have found that I also have a need for a flat pair of sandals in my wardrobe because, as we all know, walking in heels can be a struggle during long distances. My flat sandals are far more useful when exploring a new country and spending a lot of time on my feet, I think they are going to be perfect for our trip to Rome this year. I love the way that gladiators sandals look on your feet and these ones always make my feet look tanned. My new set for this summer have come from Office and I was lucky enough to get them on sale.

Flip Flops

Now I am aware that these are a love/hate situation but personally I feel like everyone should have at least one pair of flip flops in their wardrobe because they are just so versatile. I use them most if I have got friends or family over for a BBQ or drinks in the garden and they make it so easy to walk through the house and into the garden without worrying abut changing shoes all the time. I have also found them to be very useful on holidays whether your camping or staying in hotel, I use mine for popping to showers whilst camping or going down to breakfast if I’m in a hotel. Unfortunately I cant link the set above as they came from a lovely, little independent store in Filey, Yorkshire called Coast.

Espadrilles

I have never owned a pair of espadrilles until this year but I have already found that they have been unbelievably useful to own. They have been my go to shoe for causal days around the town and popping out to run errands at weekends. Due to them being flat, I have no problems with spending all day on my feet in them and they are going to perfect for my summer of exploring. My favourite pair are a pretty pink and came from ASOS.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this post and if you have any shoes that you are loving this summer I would love to hear about them as I’m always on the look out for something new to add to the collection. Let me know in the comments below. See you soon!
